“This concert, one of eight in the 81st season of performances presented by Canterbury Music Club, ends my forty-year engagement with music making in Canterbury. The performers represent the wealth of musical expertise and creativity associated with Canterbury many of whom studied at Canterbury Christ Church University, now professional musicians or are members of the Canterbury Cantata Trust founded in 2012 with its strapline of "Caring through Singing". All performers are friends in music and today we celebrate both the past and the future confident that music will continue to change the world!”
